Join the WESN Community and Make a Difference with PTA

Enhancing Education and Building Inclusive Community

The PTA (Parent Teacher Association) at WESN is a parent-led volunteer group with two main goals. The
first is to support projects that seek to enhance the education and learning experience at WESN for all
our children. The second is to build an inclusive community where all families are made to feel welcome
and supported.

Once joining WESN, all families are automatically part of the PTA. Participation in the PTA is strongly
encouraged – whether it be volunteering at an event, running for a Committee or Class Representative
position, or as WESN in a project that the PTA has decided to sponsor.

The PTA is governed by a Constitution and has a seven-member Committee elected annually by WESN.
The Committee is made up of five parent volunteers (President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and
Health & Wellness Coordinator), the Principal and a Staff Representative.

Prospective parents are encouraged to contact the PTA at: pta@WESN.in for further information on
what life is like at WESN, parent perspectives, or any other questions you may have. We will do our best
to respond as soon as we are able.

We look forward to welcoming you & your family to our WESN Community.

Weingken English School: Where Students Become Global Citizens

Empowering Global Citizens Through Education and Community at Weingken English School

Our school has a proud heritage that dates back to 2012 in Naharkatia.

The Primary Years Program is an integral part of our school system. As an authorized School, we have a
diverse student population with an equal distribution to any religion. Our goal is to develop students’
intellectual, emotional, personal and social skills to become caring global citizens that solve the future
complexities of world problems.

Gleaning from a local and English speaking environment, our children have an advantage with a 1:6
teacher/student ratio. Our school campus, spacious classrooms, spacious indoor activity room create a
well-balanced educational situation. We have access to nearby outdoor facilities such as local Ground
for our annual sports day.

The Weingken English School in Naharkatia calendar includes a full slate of events like Children’s Day,
Sports Day, Literacy Week, Science Week, Cultural Day, Celebrations of Learning and Winter
Performance.

Our Parent Teacher Association (PTA) has a very strong working hand and collaboration with our school
administration. We are also proud of our After School Program (ASP) with Dance Club, Drama Club,
Sports of all Sorts and Art & Craft Club. These ASP’s are geared toward our regular students in
attendance. Such activities are run by our WESN teachers and community members and rotate and
change based upon wants, needs and resources.

This website/literature aims to give you a better insight into the fantastic work we do here at Weingken
English School. I hope to welcome you to our school in the near future.
